Biografi
Stones Cry Out originated in Helsingborg, Sweden, with five members born in the early 1980’s. They started playing together four years ago and were up until recently known as Color Blind. Since the start the band has recorded several demos, but in early 2004 they finished their first EP – Ghosttown, and with it they also changed their name.
Stones Cry Out creates melancholic rock influenced by the modern British and American rock-scene. The band has performed together at some 40 venues and concerts during their four-year history, among those are a number of performances at the local rock-club The Tivoli in Helsingborg. During 2003 the band also played at legendary Nalen in Stockholm, and in Gothenburg where they were guests on the national radio show P3 Frank. Other cities that Stones Cry Out has visited are Växjö and Malmö. Over the past two years the band has also been performing as opening act for Bad Cash Quartet, David and the Citizens, Mando Diao, Sahara Hotninght and others.
For the past two years the band has received a lot of good critique and great response from local as well as regional newspapers and entertainment guides. In 2003 they also got airplay on the national Radio Show P3 Demo where host Pelle Gustavsson gave them excellent judgements.
For now, Stones Cry Out will spend all their time and resources launching and sending their Ghosttown EP throughout Sweden. The band hopes and expects this commitment will result in brilliant response, many gigs, great reviews and a record deal!
